Do Right, Feel Right, Make People Feel Alright

By Stanley Lai

The best, is the bull's eye on the dart board. Throw the dart and see where it lands.
Your target may not be the red spot in the center of the board, so, "Aim for the Moon, if missed, You will still land among the stars. "
Moving ahead, you need morale, now, avoid:
• "The rivalry work environment"
A cold place where there is the atmosphere of "not given or shown thanks or gratitude" for what you are doing, or what you made much efforts to get done. This is the legacy of "dog eat dog", individualistic environment.
Everybody around you are all trying to be ahead of you. This will become unhealthy, stressful, miserable and tiring. Due to sleepless nights, predicting, anticipating the problems ahead, and so on. Don't destroy yourself!
Everyone, including you and I, we all need some love!
• Negative people
Sad, lousy, and negative people drag you down, and the "Thing" that destroys you here is the shrinking ego, hurt soul and the bad self esteem.
Do not be a gossiper, backstabber, or anyone that hurts others. The people you hurt are part of your environment. In the end, you will become a creator of negativity too. So, be you, be happy, not crazy. Be happy, and don't bully!
• Inability to "change"
The environment may not be the same as you move into new ones as you make progress into the future. So, "can't change the world, be part of the world".
You want to improve in the ever- changing environment, you have to cope with changes, not make the environment change for you.
• Old memories; your past.
Past failures are memories, like my psychiatrist told me, "It Is painful, just be happy that it is your victory, not your pain. "
Look ahead, and the world is before you, make a road for yourself, as the road was not made for all to do the same thing, or the same way.
• Determination
Your: peers, parents, upbringing, company, spouse and the living environment, make you what you are, and how you perceive the world to be.
In the days of Depression, so much misery was disseminated to the mass public that no will was existent to "fight on". In World War I and II, documentaries show the notes, letters and diaries of soldiers proclaiming their end is just round the corner.
So, Believe in life, not death. Psychology implies that looking up to the sky, and taking deep breaths make the human body nourished in the much needed oxygen and "renewed spirit".
Be the TEAM player, pass the token of appreciation to the next person, do not hang on to it, be kind and not promote rivalry.
I am: Stanley Lai, a cancer survivor who achieved in an awkward way and lived on; to learn more. Hoping that many more people like me will see the hope, despite the odds; that are against us.
